What should you do if your husband cheats on you? You might be surprised at the answer you get in Donna Estes Antebi’s new book The Real Secrets Women Only Whisper, The 21st century Woman’s Guide to Success and Survival. I must warn you however, it is not for the faint at heart. If you want someone to tip toe around your feelings about marriage, dealing with women, finding the perfect mate and other fabulously relevant things you may find yourself dealing with as a woman, then you will want to
move slowly into the book with a nice cup of green tea and a cheesecake tart but if you want to hear it like it is and get on top of your game then jump in with both feet and woman up!
Donna Estes Antebi is an entrepreneur, patent holder, blogger for The Huffington Post, Certified Life Coach, motivational speaker and children’s health advocate. She has spent years coaching couples into successful marriages so naturally we were anxious to get her take on what motivated her to write such a hard hitting but much needed book.
Donna points out that women fought for the right to have it all and now women have to do it all as men everywhere packed up and walked out either physically or emotionally and furthermore, “Young women are struggling to find decent suitors through this porn tainted, silicone-spoiled generation of men. And wives are increasingly being forced to defend their relationships against the never ending supply of morally challenged women” whom Donna refers to as “Weeds”.
In her book, she shoots straight about how to deal with other women, finding a life long mate, keeping your marriage together (even in the face of adultery) and how to publicly shame the Weeds to protect your marriage and family.
“We really need to toss shame wear shame is due rather than glorify it by putting the sports celebrity mistress who was paid millions in hush money on EXTRA as a guest host as if she is to be celebrated in some way!” she says with no reservation. In her tone I detect a matter of factness I found quite refreshing and it occurred to me that maybe we’ve spent too much time feeling sorry for ourselves and each other in this age of “I know I did something stupid but I had a terrible childhood”.
She goes onto say that women everywhere need to take a stand now against anything and everything that threatens their family and marriage. “We have the purchasing power; we control the nation’s expendable income. We can do something about it.” She also suggests, well more than suggests, more like something just this side of "demands" (which is fabulous), that women cease to watch, read or listen to anything that is demeaning to the marriage institution. She asserts that America is at a crisis point and the restoration of the family is the only way to turn it around, encouraging everyone to go back to their churches, synagogues and other worship institutions.
